About Y2K revival
Y2K revival brought early-2000s fashion back into circulation in the early 2020s. Low-rise jeans, micro miniskirts, cropped tops and sparkling accessories moved between social media, celebrity wardrobes and major runways. Younger wearers reinterpreted an era many had not experienced firsthand, while designers exaggerated its proportions for a new audience. Miu Miu’s Spring 2022 cropped knits and low-slung skirts became a conspicuous example. This category records the revival, while original millennium-era clothes remain in the 2000s.
