Alphadi, born Sidahmed Alphadi Seidnaly in Timbuktu and raised in Niger, treats fashion as a meeting place for African cultures. His designs bring materials such as Kuba cloth and Téra-Téra weaving into contemporary silhouettes, and his metal-bodice dresses reference Tuareg jewellery.

About Alphadi
He established his label in 1983 and founded the International Festival of African Fashion in 1998. Alongside his collections, he has promoted training, cultural exchange and opportunities for African designers, linking the making of clothes to economic and social development.
