Christophe Decarnin is a French designer whose Balmain collections helped define late-2000s rock glamour. Following work at Paco Rabanne, he joined Balmain and led its creative direction from 2006 to 2011.

His vocabulary combined sharply emphasized shoulders, abbreviated dresses, skinny trousers and deliberately distressed surfaces with luxurious embroidery and metallic decoration. These recognizable contrasts gave the historic house a new public identity. Later work includes Faith Connexion and a documented 2026 collaboration with Bond, continuing his interest in clothing that carries the attitude of music and street culture.
