Lawrence Steele studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago before working in Tokyo and Milan with Moschino and Prada. He launched his own womenswear label in the 1990s and later directed collections for Aspesi, combining sartorial skill with luxurious fabrics and considered detail.
