Marc Jacobs

  • Grunge
  • Subcultural knitwear

Marc Jacobs developed an interest in subcultural dress while studying at Parsons. His early knitwear drew on punk and club clothing, and his later grunge collection for Perry Ellis brought a thrift-shop sensibility into American designer fashion.
