Yeohlee Teng founded her New York label in 1981 and developed a rigorous approach to clothing as portable shelter. Her designs use geometry, the dimensions of cloth and economical cutting to produce adaptable garments with a strong architectural presence.

About Yeohlee Teng
A celebrated early cape established her interest in shapes that can accommodate different bodies while reducing waste. Rather than separating function from beauty, she treats movement, protection and construction as sources of design. Her work is represented in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and other major collections.
