Behind the design
This Vetements ensemble is credited to Demna Gvasalia and dated fall/winter 2017–18. The museum photograph pairs a closely fitted, pale skirt suit with contrasting red shoes. Its familiar officewear vocabulary becomes a study in proportion and styling, while the object record documents mixed textile fibers, metal, acrylic and bovine and goat leather across the components.
