Behind the design

Marine Serre’s spring/summer 2022 ensemble combines a close-fitting, long silhouette with contrasting patterned panels and a dark upper layer. The wider collection, Fichu pour Fichu, explored domestic textiles, reuse and community through the film Ostal 24. The Met records synthetic material and leather for this specific object; the collection’s reuse strategies should not be assumed to describe every component.
