Behind the design
For spring/summer 2018, Thom Browne extended his experimentation with proportion into this sculptural ensemble. The dark, close-fitting body is set against dramatically expanded sleeves, with repeated lines emphasizing the change in volume. The museum’s component list includes nylon, glass, metal, cotton, elastane, leather and wood, recording an outfit assembled from several distinct material systems.
