Behind the design
Rick Owens’s spring/summer 2020 ensemble expands from a narrow, structured center into abundant pale drapery. Long fabric sections pool outward, turning the floor into part of the silhouette. The museum distinguishes cotton in one component from acetate and silk in another, with leather-and-rubber accessories completing the catalogued ensemble.
