Behind the design

This silk dress by Jonathan Anderson for Loewe is dated fall/winter 2023–24. A soft, blurred floral image runs down the front of an otherwise restrained pale silhouette. The contrast between an apparently fleeting picture and a physical, wearable object makes its surface a useful subject for studying how contemporary fashion plays with perception.
