Behind the design

Christopher John Rogers gives this ensemble a strongly defined waist and broad, rounded skirt, using repeated multicolored checks across its surface. The Met records silk and synthetic material and identifies the design as resort 2022. Its additional edition date, 2025, is retained here so that the design’s season is not confused with the museum object’s production.
